About me
Mike Kreuzer, the firm rather than the man, is more or less a one man band. I say more or less because it would never have got off the ground without the help and assistance of the many brilliant gamers I've faced over the kitchen table over the years. Any flashes of insight herein are probably due in large part to their inspiration. The mistakes of course are uniquely my own.
MK was founded in 2005, but it didn't really start then. In 1980 at the ripe old age of twelve I bought Avalon Hill's Rise and Decline of the Third Reich and have been a gamer ever since. An advertisement in Strategy & Tactics that year for SSI's "$2,160 Wargame" first made me think about the possibility of computer wargames. According to the add: "For about $2,100 you can get [an] Apple II Plus ... An additional $59.95 gets you Computer Bismark ..." The money involved meant that it wasn't until five or six years later -- and Europe Ablaze -- that computer games began to compete with boardgames for my time.
I founded MK to design and publish the sort of games I like to play. While I sincerely hope you enjoy playing and playing around with these games too, if there's a different sort of game that you want to play and you can't buy it off the shelf either, well, design it! The more the merrier!
